This study investigated the effectiveness of medical chronic rhinosinusitis (CRS) treatment on eustachian tube dysfunction (ETD) using the ETDQ-7 questionnaire. Of 175 CRS patients, 65.7% showed ETD symptoms initially. After ≥4 weeks of treatment, the average ETDQ-7 score reduced by 3.1 points, with 51.4% still showing ETD symptoms. Higher pre-treatment ETDQ-7 scores were associated with greater improvement, and ETDQ-7 > 21 predicted persistent ETD. The findings suggest that CRS patients treated with medical management have improvement in ETD symptoms.
