This study assessed the impact of patient characteristics on liver glucose metabolism using automated whole-body dynamic 18F‐fluorodeoxyglucose (FDG)‐positron emission tomography (PET) imaging. Researchers analyzed data from 540 patients, measuring hepatic glucose metabolism using standardized uptake value, metabolic glucose rate, and distribution volume. Correlations were found between these measurements and patient factors like age, sex, blood glucose level, body mass index, fasting time, diabetes mellitus, and hepatic steatosis. The study suggests that automated FDG-PET imaging can help analyze liver glucose metabolism in clinical settings.
