This study examined the association between adherence to plant-based dietary index (PDI) and the odds of diabetic nephropathy (DN) in women. Analyzed data from 105 women with DN and 105 controls showed that higher adherence to overall PDI and healthy PDI was linked to significantly lower odds of DN, while higher adherence to unhealthful PDI increased DN odds. Further research is needed to confirm these findings.
