The HERO study compared health-related quality of life (HRQOL) between relugolix and leuprolide in advanced prostate cancer patients. With 934 participants, HRQOL was assessed using the EORTC Quality of Life Questionnaire. During treatment, no significant differences were observed. In the testosterone recovery phase, relugolix showed lower hormonal treatment–related symptom scores, indicating a potentially lower burden of symptoms compared to leuprolide. This supports relugolix as an oral option for androgen deprivation therapy with similar HRQOL to leuprolide but potentially faster testosterone recovery.
