Impact of respiratory care training and family support using telemedicine

A telehealth program aimed at training caregivers of children with tracheostomies in home respiratory care significantly reduced hospital admission days, costs, and ICU admission rates. The study enrolled 48 children, showing a decrease in median admission days from 55 to 6, admission costs from 300,759 to 33,367 baht, and ICU admission rates from 43.8% to 2.1%. Caregivers' confidence increased from 47.9% to 85.5% after the program, highlighting the positive impact of telemedicine on healthcare outcomes and caregiver confidence.
