Impact of uncertainties in biometric parameters on intraocular lens power formula predicted refraction using a Monte‐Carlo simulation

A recent study aimed to examine the uncertainty in predicted refractive outcomes (REFU) following cataract surgery due to measurement uncertainties in modern optical biometers. The study found that measurement uncertainties contributed significantly to the overall standard deviation, with REFU increasing with IOL power and decreasing with axial length. The results highlight the importance of considering these uncertainties in improving the accuracy of refractive outcome predictions.
