
A study examining predictors of long-term prognosis in patients undergoing transcatheter aortic valve implantation (TAVI) for severe aortic stenosis found that frequent premature ventricular complexes (PVCs) detected via 24-hour ECG Holter monitoring were associated with cardiovascular events (CVEs) such as cardiovascular death or cardiac arrest. However, this association was lost in multivariable analysis. Polymorphic PVCs and nonsustained ventricular tachycardia (NSVT) showed no significant association with CVEs or mortality. The findings suggest the potential utility of monitoring PVCs post-TAVI for risk assessment, though further research is needed.
