Additional questions and medical testing may be necessary. Radiographic findings and biomarkers can also be used to evaluate exposure. Online resources can provide information on industry-specific exposures. Employers can be an important source of information with patient consent. If a significant public health issue is identified, relevant public health authorities should be notified.
