This study evaluated the reporting of harms in randomized controlled trials (RCTs) cited in the AAOS clinical practice guidelines for ACL injuries. On average, these trials adhered to 51.4% of the CONSORT checklist for harms. Trials with larger sample sizes (>500 patients) showed better adherence, but there was no significant improvement after the 2004 CONSORT release. The findings highlight the need for better reporting practices.
