Results from the phase III MITIGATE trial demonstrated the efficacy of inebilizumab, a CD19-targeted B cell depletion therapy, in treating IgG4-related disease (IgG4-RD), a condition lacking approved pharmacotherapies. In this parallel-cohort, double-blind trial conducted at 80 sites across 22 countries, 135 adults with active IgG4-RD were randomly assigned to receive either inebilizumab or placebo. All participants had glucocorticoid treatment tapered over 8 weeks. The trial's outcomes suggest that inebilizumab may offer a new therapeutic option for managing IgG4-RD.
