A pooled analysis of 19 cohort studies involving 547,601 premenopausal women aimed to explore the link between leisure-time physical activity and premenopausal breast cancer risk. Over an 11.5-year median follow-up, higher activity levels correlated with a 6% (unadjusted) and 10% (adjusted for BMI) risk reduction. The relationship appeared linear, and a notable risk reduction was observed for human epidermal growth factor receptor 2–enriched breast cancer. This comprehensive study contributes evidence supporting the potential risk-reducing impact of increased physical activity in premenopausal breast cancer.
