Intra-Silicone Oil (SiO) injections, including steroids and anti-VEGF agents, can effectively treat postoperative macular edema in eyes with SiO tamponade following retinal detachment repair. In a case series of eight patients, visual acuity and central macular thickness showed partial improvement, with no significant deterioration. This treatment is safe and beneficial, particularly when SiO removal is not planned in the near future, preserving vision and preventing worsening edema.
