Intrauterine Monitoring Reduces Fetal Distress in Chorioamnionitis

Chorioamnionitis reduced uterine contractions in the final hour of labor. Infected cases showed higher contraction frequency with external monitoring but had lower fetal distress rates with intrauterine monitoring (6.7% vs. 23.1%), suggesting its superior accuracy and potential for reducing neonatal compromise.
