The study aimed to investigate the rate of invasive fungal sinusitis (IFS) and its associated risk factors in transplant recipients. The results revealed that allogeneic recipients who had undergone prior transplants and had higher comorbidity scores had a higher incidence of IFS. Furthermore, the researchers were able to identify specific timeframes during which individuals were at greater risk of developing IFS. This information provides valuable insights into the occurrence and potential prevention of IFS in transplant recipients.
