Investigating SIRI as a Marker for STEMI and Coronary Stenosis Severity

The study investigates the Systemic Inflammatory Response Index (SIRI) as a marker for ST-segment Elevation Myocardial Infarction (STEMI) and coronary stenosis severity. Analyzing data from 1809 STEMI patients, SIRI emerges as an independent risk factor for STEMI, with strong correlations to the Gensini score. SIRI demonstrates superior predictive power compared to the neutrophil-to-lymphocyte ratio (NLR), especially in female patients. These findings suggest SIRI's potential in predicting myocardial infarction and assessing coronary stenosis severity.
