IVF Outcomes: Poor Ovarian Response and Perinatal Risks

A prospective study of 1,663 IVF patients found that poor ovarian response (POR) resulted in worse pregnancy outcomes but no significant increase in perinatal or neonatal complications compared to normal ovarian response (NOR). The overall complication rates were 25.42% (POR) and 25.30% (NOR) (RR: 1.01; 95% CI: 0.63–1.59). Among singleton live births, the POR group initially showed higher complication risk (24.07% vs. 15.21%), but risks became comparable after adjustment.
