A new study has identified five key oxidative stress-related genes—HSPA1A, IL-1β, ICAM1, GCLC, and GCLM—as potential biomarkers for diagnosing chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD). A diagnostic model based on these genes achieved high accuracy (AUC: 0.981). Additionally, 33 potential drug targets were identified, offering promising new avenues for COPD treatment.
