This Taiwanese study of 145 stroke caregivers found that depression (CESD score, 34.9%) and caregiving preparedness (19.3%) were the top predictors of caregiver QoL, assessed via WHOQOL-BREF (avg. score: 56.5/80). Additional factors included caregiver age, marital/employment status, caregiving time, patient age, and IADL. Targeted support for vulnerable caregivers is essential to improve caregiver well-being.
