The PCL is the primary restraint to posterior tibial translation (PTT) in neutral rotation. In internal rotation, the medial collateral and posterior oblique ligaments play key roles, while in external rotation, the lateral collateral ligament and popliteus complex dominate. PTT increased up to 14.9 mm in ligament-deficient knees. This study highlights the rotational dependence of knee stability mechanisms.
