Low Atrial Fibrillation Awareness Found in Nepalese Community

A cross-sectional study in Dhulikhel, Nepal, assessed atrial fibrillation (AF) awareness among 355 adults aged ≥50. The average AF knowledge score was only 2.61%, with 95.8% of participants showing very poor awareness. Even among AF patients, only 58.7% scored well. Most were unaware of stroke risks or anticoagulant use. These findings highlight a critical need for targeted public education on AF.
