
In a retrospective analysis of 6081 SLT procedures, serious complications were rare, with hyphema occurring in 0.7/1000 cases and permanent vision loss in just one highly myopic eye. Corneal issues were minimal. These findings reinforce SLT as a safe first-line option for managing ocular hypertension and open-angle glaucoma, helping clinicians confidently counsel patients about its risk profile.
