Melatonin as a Potential Therapy for Heart Failure Patients

A systematic review and meta-analysis found that melatonin therapy improved ejection fraction, New York Heart Association (NYHA) class, and quality of life. Additionally, melatonin reduced fatigue and NT-Pro BNP levels while enhancing sleep quality, appetite, and endothelial function. These findings suggest melatonin could be a promising adjunct treatment for heart failure patients.
