A recent study determined the prevalence and predictors of mesorectal lymph node (MLN) metastases in patients with biochemically recurrent prostate cancer (PCa) following radical therapy. The study found that 11.3% of patients had MLN metastasis, with most cases involving only MLN. The presence of pT3b disease was significantly associated with a 4.31-fold increased odds of MLN metastasis. These findings suggest alternative drainage routes for PCa cells.
