Metabolic Syndrome Affects Spinal Changes but Not PsA Joint Damage

In a study of 1,422 PsA patients, 58.79% had MetS over a median follow-up of 10.59 years. While MetS was not linked to axial disease or peripheral joint damage, it was significantly associated with calcaneal spurs, diffuse idiopathic skeletal hyperostosis, and degenerative disc disease. These findings highlight the metabolic impact on skeletal structures in PsA.
