Modifiable kidney disease risk factors among nondiabetic adults with obesity

This prospective cohort study investigates the association between weight change, physical fitness (measured by walking pace), and the risk of chronic kidney disease (CKD) in nondiabetic adults with obesity. The study finds that slow walking pace and weight gain are both associated with an increased risk of CKD in this population, highlighting the importance of physical fitness and weight management in CKD prevention.
