
The study aimed to prospectively monitor and evaluate oxygenation and ventilation during bronchoscopy using transcutaneous arterial blood oxygen saturation and carbon dioxide measurements. Conducted from March 2021 to April 2022, it included 117 patients requiring pathological diagnosis via fluoroscopic bronchoscopy. Results showed significant differences in tcPCO2 and SpO2 levels between those receiving midazolam plus fentanyl and those receiving midazolam alone, indicating that a transcutaneous blood gas monitor is a useful, non-invasive tool for assessing respiratory status during bronchoscopy.
