More on Myocarditis after BNT162b2 Vaccination in Israeli Adolescents

The article by Witberg et al. describes cases of myocarditis diagnosed in Israeli adolescents after BNT162b2 vaccination. The study has relevance to the scientific community, governments, policymakers, and stakeholders. However, the authors did not mention whether the participants had been previously tested for Covid-19, which is a potential limitation that may affect the results. If the participants were not tested, they may have been asymptomatic at the time of vaccination and the cases of myocarditis could have emerged during the symptomatic phase of Covid-19 rather than as adverse effects of the vaccine. Nevertheless, the authors' findings provide an important basis for further investigation in this field.
