The study evaluated the Multidimensional Prognostic Index (MPI) for predicting mortality in older adults with head and neck cancer (HNC). Among 423 patients, higher MPI stages (2 and 3) were significantly associated with increased mortality risk. While MPI was not linked to postoperative complications, it offers a valuable tool for risk stratification and personalized decision-making in geriatric oncology.
