This review examines the use of magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) as a cephalometric tool. The study involved conducting a systematic search of electronic databases and included nine studies in the final assessment. The studies used various methods and imaging sequences, and the reference standards varied among studies. The preliminary results demonstrated by in vivo and in vitro studies are encouraging, and future studies exploring MRI sequences specific to cephalometric diagnosis are needed.
