This meta-analysis compared the diagnostic value of transvaginal ultrasound (TVS) and magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) in cesarean scar pregnancy (CSP). Nine studies with 713 subjects revealed that MRI outperforms TVS in terms of sensitivity, specificity, and diagnostic odds ratio (DOR). MRI showed superior diagnostic accuracy with a higher area under the curve (AUC), suggesting it is more effective for diagnosing CSP. TVS remains useful but should be followed by MRI for better management.
