Nanomechanical‐based classification of prostate tumor using atomic force microscopy

The study distinguishes cellular and non-cellular components based on viscoelasticity. In vitro AFM measurements of metastatic prostate cells (PC-3) and normal cells (PZ-HPV-7) highlight differences in cellular elasticity. The study concludes that nanomechanical properties can serve as an index for identifying and classifying prostate tumours at the cellular level.
