A study in Japanese patients showed that postprandial hypoglycemia after laparoscopic sleeve gastrectomy (LSG) is linked to excessive GLP-1 and glicentin secretion during glucose intake. A novel mixed meal tolerance test (MTT) prevented hypoglycemia by normalizing insulin and glucagon responses, offering a safer diagnostic alternative to OGTT in post-LSG patients.
