New SMSE-PBP Scale Validated: Tool for Premature Birth Prevention in Women

A study introduces the Self-Management Self-Efficacy for Premature Birth Prevention (SMSE-PBP) scale aimed at women of childbearing age (WCA). Developed through rigorous validation, the scale comprises 60 items across three dimensions and ten factors. Results indicate strong content and concurrent validity, with high reliability across pre-pregnancy, pregnancy, and hospital contexts. The SMSE-PBP scale offers a valuable tool for both WCA and healthcare professionals to gauge self-efficacy in birth prevention.
