In a cross-sectional analysis of 445 Chinese adults with high myopia (mean SE −9.5 D), no associations were found between myopic macular degeneration (MMD) and 13 food groups or two identified dietary patterns. Despite a 16% MMD prevalence, adjusted multivariable analyses showed no significant links. Findings suggest no current dietary recommendations for MMD prevention, warranting larger longitudinal studies.
