Non‐Type 2 and Mixed Inflammation in Chronic Rhinosinusitis and Lower Airway Disease

A study explored the role of non-type 2 inflammation in patients with chronic rhinosinusitis (CRS) and concurrent lower airway diseases. Among the findings, patients with CRS and conditions like asthma, aspirin-exacerbated respiratory disease, and COPD/bronchiectasis displayed mixed or non-type 2 inflammation patterns. This research underscores the presence of diverse inflammation types beyond the classical type 2, which could have implications for the development of targeted treatments.
