Normoalbuminuria and Cardiovascular Risks: UACR Impact Explored

This study examined the association between urinary albumin-to-creatinine ratio (UACR) within the normal range and cardiovascular outcomes. Analysis of 22 studies indicated higher risks of all-cause mortality and cardiovascular disease, particularly for UACR between 10-30 mg/g. Elevated UACR within the normal range was linked to increased risks, suggesting that even mild albuminuria elevations are significant prognostic factors for cardiovascular morbidity and mortality.
