The study explored the relationship between NT-proBNP levels and technique failure in peritoneal dialysis-associated peritonitis (PDAP). A retrospective analysis of 485 PDAP episodes from 2009 to 2021 revealed 130 instances of technique failure. Higher NT-proBNP levels, along with other clinical factors, were independently associated with technique failure. NT-proBNP was identified as a superior indicator of technique failure. Multivariate Cox regression confirmed that elevated NT-proBNP levels significantly increased the risk of PDAP technique failure.
