In this study, the effectiveness of different strategies for correcting hypoglycemia in individuals who have undergone Roux-en-Y gastric bypass surgery (RYGB) was evaluated. The participants consumed a meal to induce hypoglycemia and then received either 15g of glucose, 5g of glucose, or a protein bar to correct it. The findings suggested that a lower dose of glucose may be sufficient for correcting hypoglycemia in post-RYGB individuals, and additional nutrients like proteins may provide benefits for stabilizing blood sugar levels.
