Once‐weekly semaglutide use in patients with type 2 diabetes: Results from the SURE France study

The study investigated the effectiveness and safety of once-weekly semaglutide in adults with type 2 diabetes (T2D) in a real-world clinical setting. The study included 497 patients, and the primary endpoint was the change in glycated haemoglobin (HbA1c) levels from baseline to the end of the study, which was approximately 30 weeks. Secondary endpoints included changes in body weight, waist circumference, and the proportion of patients achieving HbA1c targets. The study found that semaglutide significantly reduced HbA1c levels and body weight, and a large proportion of patients achieved HbA1c targets without any new safety concerns identified.
