
A meta-analysis of 19 studies (223 patients) showed 83.4% and 90.2% decannulation rates for endoscopic and open surgeries, respectively. Airway obstruction improved in 87.1% (endoscopic) and 84.4% (open) of cases. Endoscopic surgery is less invasive, while open techniques remain effective for high-grade PGS. Both approaches offer promising outcomes in pediatric airway management.
