This study analyzed the teaching and learning process characteristics of Oral Pathology and Medicine (OP&M) related to oral potentially malignant disorders (OPMDs) and oral cancer (OC) in dental schools' curricula in Mexico. Questionnaires were sent to OP&M deans and professors, and recommendations were gathered from a workshop with expert professors. The findings revealed that clinical case resolution and presentations were the most commonly used strategies, but only a portion of the programs included OPMD/OC topics. The recommendations included a multidisciplinary approach, implementation of effective teaching techniques, and education of OP&M professors on teaching and learning processes. These recommendations and experiences from other countries could contribute to developing an internationally recognized OP&M curriculum.

Carried in serum exosomes, miR-30e-5p targeted vascular endothelial cells, disrupting cystine/glutamate metabolism, mitochondrial function, and endothelial health. Blocking miR-30e-5p reduced atherosclerosis in obese and atherosclerotic mice, highlighting a potential therapeutic pathway.

A prospective UK Biobank study of 385,502 adults found that greater residential exposure to green space and natural environments was associated with a lower risk of developing COPD. The model could refine diagnosis and help redefine the biological limits of vital pulp therapy.

Cyclosporine 0.09% and 0.1% ranked highest for corneal staining improvement, while tacrolimus showed early improvements in tear production and stability. Varenicline increased tear production but needs further comparative validation.

Baseline vision was often severely impaired, while IOP fell from 40 to 20 mmHg at 1 year and ocular pain declined substantially. Visual prognosis varied significantly by underlying cause.
