This study analyzed the outcomes of oral mucosal graft ureteroplasty (OMGU) and ileal ureter replacement (IUR) procedures for treating long ureteral strictures. The study found that OMGU had a higher reconstruction success rate, shorter hospital stays, and fewer complications compared to IUR. The study concluded that OMGU is an effective and safe alternative to IUR for managing long ureteral strictures, especially for obstructed ureter segments less than 8 cm.
