A recent retrospective study examined the outcomes of dichorionic triamniotic (DCTA) triplets and their management strategies. Among 108 patients, 22 underwent expectant management (EM), 28 had fetal reduction (FR) to dichorionic diamniotic twins, and 58 to singletons. FR to singletons and twins demonstrated reduced prematurity risk compared to ongoing triplets, with median gestational ages at birth of 38.6 weeks and 37.0 weeks, respectively, versus 33.1 weeks for EM. However, survival advantages were not observed, and other outcomes remained comparable among the three groups.

As a single-arm study, the findings are descriptive and require controlled confirmation.
