Overall survival update from HIMALAYA study of tremelimumab plus durvalumab in unresectable hepatocellular carcinoma

A four-year update from the HIMALAYA study reveals significant overall survival (OS) benefits with STRIDE (Single Tremelimumab Regular Interval Durvalumab) in unresectable hepatocellular carcinoma (uHCC) compared to sorafenib. The study demonstrates a sustained OS advantage with STRIDE over sorafenib, with a 36-month OS rate of 30.7% and a 48-month rate of 25.2%. Subgroup analysis shows consistent benefits across various demographics, and long-term survivors with STRIDE often required no additional anticancer therapy. Importantly, STRIDE's safety profile remains favorable, supporting its efficacy as a long-term treatment option for uHCC patients globally.
