A recent cohort study evaluated the predictive value of pain improvement following ultrasound-guided intra-articular hip injection for patients undergoing hip arthroscopy due to femoroacetabular impingement (FAI). Over 2 years, 119 patients received injections before surgery. Substantial clinical benefit (SCB) on the International Hip Outcome Tool–12 (iHOT-12) was achieved by 70.6% of patients. Those who achieved SCB had significantly greater pain reduction (ΔVAS pain) compared to non-SCB patients. Logistic regression analysis established an optimal ΔVAS pain cutoff of 8.5 points, particularly beneficial for patients with severe pain.

A retrospective study of 33 women with postpartum hemorrhage during cesarean delivery found that uterine compression sutures achieved hemostasis in 69.7% of cases. A meta-analysis of five randomized controlled trials found that as-needed ICS–SABA significantly reduced asthma exacerbations compared with SABA-only reliever therapy. ICS–SABA lowered exacerbation rates and the risk of experiencing at least one exacerbation by 31%, while extending time to first exacerbation and reducing systemic corticosteroid exposure by about 39 mg, without increasing adverse events.
