Mediastinal neoplasms, a rising concern globally, hindered by complex anatomical structures, are now more accurately diagnosed. A collaborative effort resulted in CAIMEN, an AI-powered chest CT system. Tested internally, externally, and against human radiologists, CAIMEN demonstrated exceptional detection, segmentation, and classification performance. In real-world cases, CAIMEN unveiled 13 previously missed cases and improved clinician accuracy by up to 19.1%. This AI breakthrough brings promising potential to enhance mediastinal neoplasm diagnosis in clinical practice.
