Researchers have developed a novel photocrosslinkable hydrogel for dentin regeneration. The study focused on creating injectable gelatin-glycidyl methacrylate (GMA)/treated dentin matrix (TDM) hydrogels using a new photoinitiating system. Riboflavin and glycine were used as components to photocrosslink the hydrogel under visible light. The grafting process was optimized by varying GMA concentration and reaction time. The hydrogel's properties were characterized, revealing reduced swelling and degradation with higher GMA concentration and longer reaction time. However, high GMA content and extended reaction time led to cytotoxic effects. The hydrogel demonstrated potential for pulp capping agent applications in dentin regeneration due to its bioactivity and biocompatibility.
