A comprehensive comparison of tonsillectomy techniques involving 6464 patients indicated Intracapsular Coblation Tonsillectomy (ICT) as the most beneficial, boasting the lowest postoperative bleeding risk at 4.44% and minimal mean postoperative pain score of 1.74 ± 0.68. Conversely, bipolar diathermy tonsillectomy (BDT) exhibited the highest bleeding risk (10.75%) and the most significant mean postoperative pain score of 5.67 ± 1.43. The findings underscore the potential superiority of ICT in reducing complications and discomfort.
