A recent cross-sectional study investigated predictors of poor disease control in patients with type 2 chronic Rhinosinusitis with Nasal Polyps (CRSwNP) undergoing biological therapy. The study, involving 37 patients, revealed that individuals with poorly controlled CRSwNP on biologics exhibited reduced tissue eosinophils and elevated serum neutrophil levels. Logistic regression analysis confirmed reduced tissue eosinophils as a predictive factor for poor disease control. Notably, a serum neutrophil level of ≥5.75 × 10^9 cells/L accurately forecasted the need for systemic corticosteroid rescue therapy. This study provides valuable insights into optimizing biologic treatment for CRSwNP.
