Preemptive effects of etoricoxib, acetaminophen, nimesulide, and ibuprofen on postoperative pain management after single-implant surgery

A study involving 135 participants assessed the effectiveness of four drugs - etoricoxib, ibuprofen, nimesulide, and acetaminophen - compared to placebo. Etoricoxib demonstrated superior pain relief, while ibuprofen had the highest rescue medication use. All tested drugs showed preemptive pain reduction and decreased rescue medication usage. This study highlights improved postoperative pain management in single dental implant surgeries.
